Harvey Aylmer - Founder

At the heart of Aylmers Circus is Harvey Aylmer. A theatrical producer and writer from Gloucestershire. As a child, he dreamed of producing his own circus, and at the age of 10, he transformed his garden into his version of one, raising money for Cancer Research. Harvey and his friends gathered their neighbours and practiced cartwheels together for the cause. After finishing his GCSEs, Harvey left school and ran away with the circus. He joined Giffords Circus, where he completed two apprenticeships in business administration and events management, all while working alongside the award-winning director Cal McCrystal.

In 2022, Harvey left the circus and enrolled at Bath Spa University to pursue a BA HONS degree in Theatre Production. His passion for producing led him to connect with fellow creatives, fueling his desire to create his own work. In 2023, he founded his own company and wrote and produced his debut musical, The Ringmaster, which had sold-out performances in Bath and Stroud.

Harvey is planning the future of  Aylmers Circus, a company he believes will inspire future dreamers and create a world where musical theatre and circus collide. Throughout his life, he has turned his childhood dreams into reality, and these experiences continue to shape the imaginative stories he creates.
